PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

If we want to extend our no decompression limit, or the amount of time that we can stay at a certain depth, to take that perfect photo or explore a majestic wreck, we need to breathe a gas blend from a tank containing a lower level of nitrogen and an increased level of oxygen. The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver Specialty Course provides you with the knowledge and training to understand how and when to use oxygen enriched air (EANx) with mixes from between 22 and 40% oxygen.

Our course price includes the latest interactive PADI Digital Manual, enabling you to complete your theory, knowledge development and final exam online, at your own pace.

We will complete some practical skills and apply the knolwedge you’ve learnt before planning and taking you on two dives using Enriched Air.

We can run this course alongside your Open Water Course, enabling you to safely dive on Nitrox right after your certification!

This Specialty Course, counts towards your PADI Adventure or Advanced Open Water Course and the elite PADI Master Scuba Diver rating!

PADI Deep Diver

Dive deeper to access more dive sites around the world, see different kinds of marine life and environments, and explore well-preserved wrecks. Deep dives are an adventure.

During this Course, we’ll teach you how to plan and execute deep dives using a systematic, methodical approach, with an emphasis on safety. You’ll learn what equipment you need and how to use it, appropriate deep diving limits and deep diver behaviour. Your dedicated Instructor will start your course with an in-depth classroom presentation, before moving on to practicing some essential skills and equipment configurations in our purpose-built training pool.

You will then do 4 training dives over at least two days. Combined with the PADI Deep Diver Manual we will help you get the most enjoyment out of this Specialty training area.

PADI Wreck Diver

There are some spectacular wrecks here in Mauritius! Ships, aeroplanes and even cars are fascinating to explore underwater, and usually teem with aquatic life.
Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery. This course offers rewarding adventures whilst encouraging you to observe responsible wreck diving practices.

No two wrecks are the same, but the procedures and techniques you will learn will fully equip you with all the knowledge and skills that you need to know. Get the most enjoyment out of your wreck dives worldwide!

Your dedicated Instructor will start your PADI Wreck Diver Specialty Course with an in-depth classroom presentation, before moving on to practicing some essential skills and equipment configurations in our purpose-built training pool. You will then do 4 training dives over at least two days. Combined with the PADI Wreck Diver Manual, we will help you get the most enjoyment out of this Specialty training area.

Experience the excitement and thrill of slipping beneath the surface of the water, and descending into darkness. Learn about the correct procedures for communicating with your buddies, and see and spot all the marine life that only ventures out at night.

The course requires three dives over two nights, after an indepth classroom presentation and practice session with your dedicated Instructor in our purpose-built training pool.

Combined with the PADI Night Diver Manual, you will be well equipped with the knowledge and skills to get the most enjoyment out of your night diving.

PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Diver

Buoyancy is an essential diving skill, whether it’s controlling your position on a wreck, avoiding contact with the reef on a drift dive or hovering effortlessly to take breathtaking underwater photos.

Perfecting your ‘trim’ underwater encourages you to streamline your equipment and know how to add and check the correct amount of weight for your dives. You will look at your position and finning techniques while learning how to relax, and better control your breathing and movement underwater. Being more relaxed and trim underwater reduces the effort needed to move through the water. This helps us conserve our breathing gas, which could mean more time under the water.

We start your course off with a classroom session with your dedicated Instructor, and an in-depth buoyancy workshop in the pool. You will then go out for two dives over one day. Combined with the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Diver Specialty Manual, we will provide you with the knowledge and skills to really start improving your positioning underwater.

PADI Search and Recovery Diver

Whether you’re diving on a liveaboard, from the shore, a quay or a boat, people often ask divers to help locate something lost at sea or in deep water. You could also find yourself in more pressing circumstances when there’s a missing diver.

How would you organise a search? What equipment would you use? Which patterns would you use, how would you mark the search area, and how would you communicate with your buddy underwater?

You will start the course with an in-depth classroom presentation and fun, dry practice sessions on land with your dedicated Instructor. You will move on to four open water training dives where you’ll practice various search patterns and lifting techniques underwater. Combined with the PADI Search and Recovery Diver Manual, this course provides you with the knowledge and skills to plan and execute a thorough search, improving your chances of success when needed.

During the course, you will learn so much about boat diving, boat terminology, boat safety, boat diving procedures and etiquette, how you can safely enter and exit the water, and where to stow your gear etc.

You will start with an indepth classroom presentation with your dedicated Instructor and a thorough boat orientation including handling, mooring procedures and knot tying. You will then do two open water training dives the following day. Combined with the PADI Boat Diver Manual, this course will provide you with all the knowledge and skills needed to plan and execute safe, well-prepared and organised boat dives.

During your course, you’ll start with an in-depth classroom presentation with your dedicated Instructor, followed by a buoyancy workshop in the pool, and two open water training dives. Here, we’ll look at the planning, organisation, potential problems and the hazards of drift diving.

You will plan and prepare the special equipment needed for drift diving such as floats, lines and reels. You will learn how to effectively navigation and communicate underwater, as well as more about buoyancy control.

During the knowledge development, you will understand how to select sites for drift diving, and how to assess aquatic currents, their causes and effects. Staying together with your buddy or dive group is essential, so we’ll look at techniques for that also. Combined with the PADI Drift Diver Manual, this course provides you with all the knowledge and skills neccessary to plan and execute a safe drift dive, to experience the thrill of diving with a current.

The course will begin with an in-depth classroom presentation with your dedicated Instructor, before moving on to practicing some essential skills, equipment and tank configurations in our purpose-built training pool. You will follow this with two open water training dives over one day. During these, we will look at your pre-dive set up, equipment configuration, buoyancy and trim underwater. Enjoy the additional movement and freedom underwater!

Combined with the PADI Sidemount Diver Manual, this course provides you with all the knowledge and skills neccessary to organise, set up and execute a sidemount dive with two tanks.

Dive solo and spend longer looking at the things that interest you the most. You will learn about the potential risks of diving alone, the necessary precautions, precision planning and the equipment needed to manage these risks. An excellent Specialty Course for an experienced diver, to boost your confidence and extend your skill set and experiences underwater.

The course will start with an in-depth classroom presentation with your dedicated Instructor, followed by equipment and sling tank configuration and skills practice in our purpose-built training pool. We will then conduct three open water training dives over 2 days. Here, we will look at your pre-dive set up, equipment configuration, buoyancy and trim underwater whilst sharpening and improving your dive skills to ensure you’re ready to be self-reliant. Enjoy the freedom underwater!

This Specialty Course counts towards earning the elite PADI Master Scuba Diver rating!

Requirements:

  • Advanced Open Water Diver Certified

Navigation underwater can sometimes be easy, if you’re your finning along a deep wall, or exploring a well-preserved wreck in clear water.
Other times, it can be more challenging if you dive in conditions with reduced visibility, or when the dive follows no distinct direction.

We will teach you how to sharpen your compass skills and navigate underwater using a compass as well as natural references.
Being more relaxed in water and being better orientated will help improve the quality of your dive experiences, as well as conserving your air consumption.

Our PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty is a really fun course starting with a classroom presentation with your dedicated Instructor and followed by a practical compass navigation session on land, to help you develop the skills and confidence to explore more underwater. You will put these skills to good use during three training open water dives over 2 days. Combined with the PADI Underwater Navigator Manual, you will become much more proficient at navigating underwater, expanding the range of dive sites available to you to safely explore.

Project AWARE Fish Identification Specialty

You’ll enjoy each and every dive so much more when you can confidently recognize the marine life and environment that you observe and see underwater.
You can use the skills you learn on this course for every scuba diving trip. Once you learn the main families and characteristics, it will help you to decipher the species and specimen that you see all over the world.

You will also learn about fish survey strategies, particularly the Roving Diver Technique, and even get to do one yourself. We link in exclusively with REEF to help provide them with the data that we collect on the various species and their abundance here in the Indian Ocean.

Run over two days, the course will start with an in-depth Fish ID classroom session with your dedicated Instructor, before two training dives. Post-dive, we will record and submit any collected data to REEF. Combined with the incredible Project AWARE learning resources and materials, you will be well on your way as a budding marine biologist!

Project AWARE Shark Conservation Diver

As PADI AmbassaDivers and Torchbearers for our precious ocean, this Specialty Course will teach you about the role and importance of sharks in the marine ecosystem. We’ll better understand the causes of declining shark populations, and build an understanding about what is missing in current shark fisheries management.

We want to help dispel misperceptions that may prevent people from taking action, and inspire others to help our planet’s sharks by taking action.

During an in-depth classroom presentation, your dedicated Instructor will teach you about the conservation status of sharks, how to manage and recognise threats to sharks populations worldwide, and what you can do as a scuba diver to help protect them, and gather more support for the Project AWARE movement in your local community.

After this, you’ll take part in two open water training dives, and put all this knowledge in to action underwater. We’ll look at the hazards facing sharks both underwater and on the surface. We’ll dive with responsible practices in mind, and passively observe shark species in their natural habitat.

Project AWARE Dive Against Debris Diver

As PADI Ambassadivers and Torchbearers for the ocean, we can all take part in Project AWARE’s flagship citizen-science conservation program. The program enables scuba divers to safely identify and remove marine debris from the ocean and report the various types, quantities and location of the materials collected.

This information is crucial to Project AWARE’s global movement, awareness and efforts to protect and clean up the ocean and its surrounding environments. We are also working to remove as much debris from the ocean as we can, one dive at a time. The data you submit can help to inform policy that will help to drive change at all levels.

During the course, your dedicated Instructor will conduct a thorough classroom presentation with you, as well as introducing you to all the Project AWARE materials avaiable at your disposal, to help make a difference in your community.

Understanding how to safely and effectively remove marine debris, record the data with Project AWARE and dispose of it properly can make all the difference.
There are plenty of interactive learning materials and resources, including the Project AWARE App.

After this, we’ll jump on the boat for a training dive. During the dive, we will put in to action what we have learnt, record and report all the data afterwards.

PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider

Day(s) to Complete

With a lot of science elements, during this course you will better understand the causes and symptoms of decompression sickness, and how and why oxygen is the primary treatment. We’ll apply this understanding to our skills practice, so you can see how it all works in reality. Whether it’s a suspected decompression sickness, or other injury requiring emergency oxygen, you will be able to help bring about an improvement in the patient’s condition.

Following this course, you will be legally qualified to administer emergency oxygen, and obtain tank refills. In some countries such as Australia, this is a necessary qualification to work as a Divemaster or Instructor.

As such, our highly qualified and experienced Instructors will start with an in-depth classroom presentation, before a comprehensive skills demonstration and practice session. Combined with the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Manual, you will have efficient training in this area to add to your existing first aid skills.

Because of its importance, we include this course as standard, as part of our Rescue Diver and Divemaster training.

Project AWARE Coral Reef Conservation

During this course, we’ll look at how Project AWARE brings scuba divers, water and ocean enthusiasts together, to help make a difference to our planet.

We work hard to support PADI’s corporate social responsibility and brand activism platform, the Four Pillars of Change. Becoming a Coral Reef Conservationist, is one of the ways that you can help, too.

It’s scary that throughout 2020, 90% of the world’s reefs will be in danger, and by 2050, this could be 100%.

We’ll focus on the coral reefs themselves, how they function, why they’re so important and why so many reefs are in trouble.

Finally we will discuss what role you can can play in protecting the aquatic environment. Combined with the incredible Project AWARE learning resources and materials, you will be well on your way as a budding coral reef conservationist!

PADI Digital Underwater Photography Diver or Snorkeler

This course is an introduction to this exciting new world. We offer a bespoke classroom presentation and an in-depth training session above and below the surface of our purpose-built training pool, before putting your creativity to the test underwater.

The PADI Underwater Digital Photographer Specialty requires two dives over one day followed by a comprehensive editing session after your dives.

Don’t forget, the first dive of this Specialty Course, counts towards your PADI Adventure and Advanced Open Water Certification!
The full Specialty Course counts towards the elite PADI Master Scuba Diver rating!

Requirements:

  • Open Water Diver Certified (also open to Snorkelers)
  • At least 10 Years Old
  • Logged dive within 12 months (ReActivate available)

  • Understand editing techniques and tools

Certifications:

  • Be better able to spot, set up and shoot pictures in the water
  • Understand more about buoyancy and how to handle a camera
